Osawari Review

Review: July 4, 2017, by Neil

Osawari (or Ultra Adventure Go Go Osawari Island) is actually a turn-based RPG video game with hentai characters and elements. It is playable free of any charge if you have the (free) Nutaku account. The premise is quite simple, you have to catch Eromons (basically all types of anime/hentai girls) and finish various quests by battling other Eromons in order to progress the game's basic, yet very interesting story.

osawari is just one of those games that will actually surprise you from the very moment you fire it up in your browser. It starts almost immediately with a battle. I have to admit that this is a great way to teach the player how to actually play a video game (for example, check out the intro stage of Mega Man X). With chibi characters strolling down the beach and fighting other chibi characters (the game call these Eromons), no wonder that most players will be puzzled as to what is going on in this game. So, let me try and explain what this video game is actually about.

In essence, you have to complete quests with your Eromons. Eromons are actually all sorts of anime/hentai girl characters. The battle is turn-based, so you basically have to wait for a meter to fill up before you can attack. By completing quests, your Eromons will gain experience and level up. You can also upgrade (and fuck) them on your own. After every successful quest, you will get the opportunity to catch a specific Eromon. So, basically, you can call this an otaku's Pokemon video game.

The game is completely free to play with a Nutaku account. But, you can, if you want to purchase certain items to 'enhance your gaming experience' by using gold. This gold, in turn, is purchased on Nutaku and you can get 1000 of it for $10 USD (which is the lowest package). The items you can purchase within this game will enable you to train your Eromons with greater ease, capture other Eromons easily, etc. Basically, these items will help you progress through the game faster.

I have to admit, I hate it that there are no extras when it comes to this game. Also, I am not a fan of the menu interface. It seems basically littered with options and controls and it is sometimes quite easy to get lost within the game itself.

When you take all of the above-mentioned things in consideration, you have to admit that Osawari is actually a pretty good game. First of all, it is free to play, and, second of all, its roots in the JRPGs, Japanese anime and hentai cartoons, as well as in the Pokemon series make an interesting mix that actually produces a super fun game which can be played on a daily basis without you getting bored of it.
